Load:   Full-time

Responsible to: Operations Manager

Service Period: 12 Months


Nature and Scope


We are looking for a reliable driver with good time management and communication skills to support all transport-related duties within Heritage International School.

  1. Professional Responsibilities


  • Be attentive to traffic and weather conditions in order to provide safe transportation for students and staff
  • Follow safe and legal driving regulations at all times, endeavor to maintain a clean driving record and have valid licenses
  • Communicate any accidents or volatile traffic conditions
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance office to coordinate daily financial transactions on behalf of the school and be accountable for receipts and funds used in transactions
  • Each day ensure that all school vehicles are clean and in good working condition at all times
  • Report any vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the Operations manager
  • Ensure a safe environment in the vehicle and communicate transport usage policies to passengers
  • Ensure that school vehicles are used for school authorized purposes only
  • Maintain all logs and appropriate records regarding school vehicles and actions in accordance with procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
  1. Professional Qualifications


  • The minimum requirement for this role is a DM/DH (or D/DE) class permit.
  • Preferred relevant driving experience and training certification is preferred
  • Report any circumstances that might impair your ability to perform your job safely such as; medications, fatigue, use of any substances, etc
  • Maintain the school issued uniforms and be dressed smart and appropriately for work
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Works as part of a team and forms good relationships that ensure all relevant tasks are completed in allocated time
  • Actively participates in any appropriate training
  • Maintains confidentiality over matters relating to the school, students, staff and parents
  • Responds in a courteous manner to enquiries from the school community and external visitors as appropriate
