Job summary:
To generate anddevelop new
business opportunities and increase net income for the Hotel inline
with the Hotel Strategic and Business Plans.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with line
managers to develop growth strategies and plans for thedifferent
services and products.
· Ensure customer enquiries are
converted into confirmed sales, develop futureand repeat business
strategies to boost sales and revenue.
· Follow leads
and scan media adverts, prepare proposals, obtain and bid for
newclients.
· Improve and deliver the brand
standards of outstanding customer service whilstensuring a clear and
effective line of communication is maintained within thesales team and
with the operational teams (Rooms Division and F&BDepartments).
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities both by
use of the companydatabase, networking, B2B opportunities, exhibitions
and client entertainment.
· Work closely with F&B and
Rooms Division Departments to develop andimplement sales marketing
campaigns and client entertainment.
· Carryout
market research and conduct industry benchmarks to determine
successfactors, growth opportunities and prepare projections for
management’s decisionmaking.
· Establish and maintain
positive links with potential partners and stakeholders,target
referrals and solicit for business for the Hotel.
·
Develop, up-date and maintain an annual calendar of events, liaise
with therespective line managers to plan/schedule and implement sales
campaigns andentertainment events.
· Manage the
performance and development of the Revenue and Business
Developmentteam.
· Work with management to prepare
and review Hotel business plan and otheroperations jobs
Requirements
Requirements
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s
degree in the disciplines of Marketing, BusinessAdministration,
Economics or Finance from an accredited University.
·
Master’s degree in any of the above disciplines or a post graduate
diploma inTourism & Hotel Management and/or a post graduate
qualification inMarketing e.g CIMA is an added advantage.
· At least 4 years of progressive relevant experience in a busy
environment, 2 ofwhich should have been in the hospitality industry.
· Proven track record of success in a sales and
marketing role.
• Must be ableto expertly train,
motivate and manage a team.
· Strategic planning
and implementation skills. E-commerce working knowledge orsocial media
marketing Knowledge of Hotel Products and Services. Ability totake
initiative and work under highly demanding environment.
• A solidunderstanding of hotel management systems, price and
positioning strategies.
• Excellent knowledge of
uses/applications of FrontOffice, and Reservations Systems.
• Capability of setting clear objectives for
businessdevelopment, quality, customer satisfaction and energetically
leading andorganizing the team to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
• Capability for developing effective promotions.
• Ability to conform to the Hotel’s brand standardsand
corporate identity.
