PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Essential Requirements
• An Honor’s. Bachelor’s degree or its equivalency
of a Master’s degree in; Computer Science, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Business Computing, Software Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or any relevant
related IT field from a recognized academic institution.
• At
least three (3) years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture design in
a reputable organization.
• An impeccable record of integrity.
Desirable Requirements
•
Certification in either CGEIT, TOGAF
• ITIL4 Certification
Knowledge
• Knowledge of Project
Management
• Knowledge in Architecture Frameworks
•
Knowledge of the Risk Management Policy
• Knowledge of
Information Technology Policy

JOB
ROLE/ PURPOSE:
Coordinate the development of URA
architectural artefacts that show how the current and future needs of
the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and
adaptable manner to ensure alignment to overall IT
strategy.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.
Develop standards and procedures to operationalize governance
frameworks and policies for URA’s ICT domain.
• Implement
Enterprise Architecture standards, procedures and guidelines and
ensure alignment to the URA’s strategic imperatives.
• Provide
support on the implementation of IT technology road maps aligned with
the IT and business strategy
• Participate in the communication
and dissemination of technology roadmap to all stakeholders.
2. Develop business model
that translate business strategy, practices and processes into
architectures to facilitate strategic planning and enable delivery of
appropriate technology solutions
• Carry out an
environmental scan and stakeholder map in order to provide
documentation of the organization’s direction.
• Develop tools
that can facilitate information management and monitor the usage of
the developed tools
• Conduct gap analysis by analyzing
organizational business processes, assessing challenges and defining
the current and desired state of the organization
• Document
all changes that need to be implemented within the organization to
drive strategy implementation.
• Participate in the development,
maintenance and review of the business model as and when the need
arises
3. Design URA’s
Enterprise Architecture in order to align the IT strategy to the
business strategy.
• Carry out research, horizon scanning
and analysis to identify future IT trends, identify gaps and assess
applicability to support business objectives.
• Design, document
and obtain approval for the target and desired architectural
blueprints (Business, Information, Application, Technology), and the
roadmaps and timescales for these architectures to ensure the most
effective use of technology and digital services across the URA.
•
Review and monitor an IT service model Indicators and IT Service
management Framework (Security, Integration, Network Architecture for
all Systems)
• Provide expert technical advice to support
decisions regarding IT initiatives and innovation
• Identify and
document corporate technology risks so as to recommend appropriate
mitigates to the Authority
• Consolidate all the Architecture
Blueprints of Information and Technology and submit to line manager
for review.
• Provide an assurance role, ensuring that all
architecture activities and deliverables (in-house and external
outsourced) are produced to a high quality and are consistent with
existing standards, policies and strategies
4. Plan and manage the performance and
development of staff under supervision so as to improve their
productivity.
• Plan and budget for resource requirements in the
business Unit and monitor the usage to ensure efficiency
•
Develop and monitor a Business Unit Work plan and develop performance
agreements with all the staff under supervision
• Monitor staff
performance and provide guidance and periodic feedback for performance
improvement
• Assess the training and development needs of staff
under supervision and recommend appropriate interventions
•
Provide coaching and mentoring support to staff under
supervision
• Initiate and implement activities/programs
intended to create and harness teamwork in the business Unit
