Makarios is a non-profit organization registered in the US, the Dominican Republic, and Uganda. Our focus is on walking alongside families, churches, and schools in the vulnerable communities we serve to prepare them for spiritual restoration that leads to systemic change. We believe that the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ provide the framework for true generational restoration.
In Pader, Northern Uganda, we are locally led, and seek to address the brokenness in families by equipping churches and schools to empower families through the love of Jesus Christ.
We call on Interested applicants with the relevant qualifications to fill a positions of Training Cordinator in the organization’s office in Pader, Northern Uganda.
Training Cordinator School Partnerships
We are committed to channeling our efforts to accompany schools with a Christ-centered vision to increase their impact on the families they serve through the provision of key elements that promote the strengthening of educational centers.
The Director of School Partnerships reports to the Director of School Partership with collaborative opportunities with the Country Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with school administration to evaluate systems and processes
- Modify processes to create a greater connection between the school and the family.
- Provide family empowerment training to school staff and leadership in Biblical integration.
- Provide coaching and leadership for school directors that centers on creating a family focused school culture.
- Be able to plan, mobilize, and organize training as deemed fit.
- Teach and train staff on how to implement an effective home visit program.
Qualification, Knowledge and Skills
- A mature, born-again Christian, preferably married.
- A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in education or education management, Social sciences and management, or adult education with additional leadership or management qualifications is an added advantage.
- A letter of recommendation from a practicing pastor of your local church and your former or current employer.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a leadership position in a school setting or a Non Governmental Organisation..
- Strong understanding of people management, organizational leadership, and leadership principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Should be a good steward of time and resources.
- Should be a self-driven person and emotionally inteligent.
- Commitment to providing exceptional service to school leaders and staff and support to fellow staff members.
- Ability to think critically, create content, and deliver appropriately.
- Should be computer literate.
